Welcome to the Neighborhood: Sit and Wonder
Washington Ave. is blowin’ up! This morning I went to check out Sit and Wonder, the new coffee shop in the old Natural Heights space at Washington and St. Marks. Their big claim to fame is that they’re serving Stumptown Coffee, which is apparently a big deal. They also have wi-fi and some decent looking pastries. Drinks are between $2 and $4.25, they’re open from 7am to 8pm every day, and there are a variety of seating options, including tables, couches, and counter seating.
I have to say that a little bit of the allure is lost on me, since I (gasp) don’t drink coffee, but it’s a perfect coffee shop for getting out of the house and doing work. In comparison to Ortine, which is a block or so north of Sit and Wonder, I would go to Sit and Wonder to do work by myself and Ortine to eat or work/chat with a friend. Welcome to the neighborhood!
